Artist's Description

Santa Fe Depot, in the heart of Downtown San Diego, was built in 1915 by the Atchison, Topeka & Santa Fe Railway. It was originally constructed to transport visitors to the Panama-California Exposition which began that same year. The station's Mission Revival Architecture made it the grandest structure the railway had ever built out West including wood beam ceilings constructed from California Redwood Trees.
